All Things Audio

Hi guys,

I'm doing some research into whether it is a feasable idea to start a one-stop audio hub for the UK/European adult industry. Would a central place where you are able to download and use tracks for your product be beneficial to many of you producers?

I'm aware some of the bigger names use Audio Central, the site I'm planning will follow a similiar theme, albeit on a much smaller and financially friendly scale.

Services to be included will be primarily soundtracking/sound design, as well as ADR, sound recording/editing/restoration and sound/set-up for live events.

Any input from industry peeps would be greatly appreciated and all taken on board.

Please contact me on the email address in my profile if you have any questions, to find out more, or to talk music/sound for any of your upcoming projects.

Cheers!

I don't know who Audio Central are but I'd be interested in discussing this idea. We create music on Soundtrack (part of FCP) for our shows and sometimes utilise the service of real bands who provide us with a non-vocal track for our use. Ric Porter, Portway Films

My mate has made several million pounds selling audio books - seriously... I hope audio porn works as well for you mate.

Why just limit yourself to the adult industry? If its a sound file based site why not open it up further like www.soundogs.com and www.stockmusic.net?

Its a great idea and one where I give you an award for thinking oputside the box so to speak.

Everyone seems to think getting into the porn biz is about shooting porn when there are some prosucers that would happily pay a commission for fixers (not just merely model agents) someone who can find locations and be a general dogsbody.

There is still plenty money being thrown around porn despite hearing companies going to the wall and still plenty companies shooting.

I would find your service a valuable resource and will list it on UKAP where you should be affiliating yourself with as there are a quarter of the producers in the UK on there (even if most appear to be hibernating right now)

It'd be nice to do something as big as Soundogs et al, but there is just way too much competition from the big boys so I figured to go for a niche, and what better niche than the porn world.

The lack of a cental site has been something I've been mulling over for a while, having broken down where producers get their music from into a trio of resources. There's the sites such as Soundogs, Audio Network etc, which I find to be really expensive, MySpace, or they have a producer/musician friend.

I'm glad you think it's a good idea and really appreciate the offer of a boost from UKAP, I signed up there last week, it's a great resource :)
