Hi there all at BGAFD,

My name?s Vickie and I'm a Senior Researcher for ITV. My reason for contacting you is that I?m currently working on documentary style programme about people wanting to enter the Porn Industry and was hoping you may consider taking part?

The aim of this programme is to discover what it's like to start working in the porn industry by exploring the issues through the eyes of someone hoping to become a Porn Star/Glamour model. We will follow them as they try and launch their career and speak to a variety of people along the way.

We feel it?s essential to strike an even balance between pro and anti porn stances and to do this we hope to speak to as many people across the spectrum as possible therefore, I think your contribution to this programme is invaluable as you have wide experience and knowledge about the adult industry and how it works.

We?re looking to speak to actors, actresses, producers and photographers and we?d also like to film our potential?s first photo-shoot, agency meeting etc. etc. We?d also like experienced industry insiders to offer some advice to our hopeful and maybe give them some tips on breaking into the industry and the ups and downs involved?

I must reiterate that fairness is crucial in a show like this and we are committed to producing a balanced programme that will cover a wide variety of issues and give all parties a chance to put voice their opinions and talk about their experience of the industry.

At this juncture it might be worth noting from a PR aspect that ours is a show that can attract up to 1.7m viewers daily. It is the number one daytime talk show in the UK. We regularly beat This Morning in the ratings and gain virtually double the ratings of all the other daytime talk shows on ITV or the BBC.

We?re working to a tight deadline and would therefore very much appreciate the chance to speak to you as soon as possible. We?re looking at filming in the next few weeks (hopefully mid-March) but we will try and be as flexible as possible to accommodate people where we can.

Please feel free to get in touch anytime via the details below.

All the best,

Vickie Munro

Vickie what I'd like to see you do is produce at least a 'balanced' or even better, a pro-porn industry documentary. As long as the *end product gets right up John Beyer's nose, that's all I would ask of you. I'm not connected with the industry in any way... just an 'interested observer'.

*no pun intended

Vickie forgot to mention that she works for the Jeremy Kyle show, that well-known bastion of non-sensational balanced "documentary" journalism.

In that case if it is the JK show (which I know nothing about, but have heard plenty) then I seriously doubt anyone in the industry would touch it with a bargepole, not unless they want some cheap publicity that is.

I was willing to do a programme similar to this.

I was filmed with all my family in my home for a full day.

It caused a whole load of heart searching etc.

The guy who came was fantastic.

The show never went ahead.

Take my advice. Keep as far away from ITV as you possibly can.

They have no idea about what we do or why we do it.

The phrase that comes to mind is F..K O.F
