Removing myself from porn site

Hi,

A few years back I went on some dogging missions which were filmed. The videos are now appearing on a dogging website which I do not want published because it is obvious my face can be seen.

I have at no point signed a written consent form or agreement for this to be published.

Can anyone give any advice on how I can get the videos removed?

Thanks

hiya Alex,

Id contact the webmaster in the first instance and failing that a solicitor.
What did they tell you they were filming them for?
Did you receive payment for the missions?

I dont know a huge amount about it to be honest, but thats what id do if it was me.

Good luck
Melodyx

I have sent an e-mail but no response.

I knew they were filming but told my face would never be shown. This is not the case and now causing me big issues.

I never recieved any payment.

oh sorry to hear that hun.

I think you stand a good case then if you never recieved any payment and they dont have your written signature then im guessing they cant do what they have done.

Id have a quick chat with a solicitor and see what they say, the first 30 minutes is free with most solicitors.

good luck i hope you get it sorted

I agree with those who suggest you should contact the website. However, you may be on legally thin ice. If you received proper payment (as paid by professional photographers, as opposed to amateurs at a camera club, etc) then you can expect the photographer to earn his keep by selling the material. Unless you signed an agreement with him that the work would not be used in any commercial way (including internet), then I doubt you can legally prevent publcation.

Also, was the work done in a "public place"? If it was, then I think you have no rights whatsoever - that's how paparazzi photographers can get away with what they do!

Best wishes with getting the stuff removed - asking nicely may be your best strategy.

I did not recieve any payment but some of the videos were in a public place.

So due to this I have no way of removing it? The website has not replied to any of my e-mails I sent so far.

As I provided photo ID I understand this is part of the compliance them to publish this material.

Therefore I understand the publishers and website did nothing wrong.

I will speak to the website to see if we can kindly remove anything possible.

Thanks

The moral here may be to not go on any dogging missions- a shame given most of those sites are professional and do disguise male [facial] features.

Sure this in breach of your human rights- a breach of privacy- if no written contract existed and no payments were made.

It is my fault and I do not blame the site.

But hopefully they can understand my situation and help to remove part where I am exposed.
