Models - this is costing you work - if you use Hotmail or Live then people will be sending you offers of work and you will not be receiving all of them...

Some people have realised that hotmail is crap for people in this industry.

They are moving to Live. But....

Live and Hotmail are part of the same company, and so they are both crap, they both reject industry mail. You go through the hoops to get them to OK you, and a couple of weeks later, they reject again.

Free email services suck (and not in a good way) if you are in this industry as their anti spam is just too wide.

Everyone in this industry should invest in, at minimum, a basic hosting account and domain so you get an email they you can control. Costs are as low as about a fiver a month.

Security on those accounts isn't very good either.

A funny thing happened to me last week. I accidentally (and innocently!) hacked into a stranger's email.

One of the girls whose Adultwork profile I look after had forgotten her Hotmail email address and the password (yeah, that's what I thought !oops!).

She had an idea what it was, so I tried signing in. It didn't accept the password, so I took the "forgotten your password?" option. I went through putting in the user's postcode and "name of your first pet" and I was able to change the account password. When I logged in, it WASN'T my girl's account!

Funny that two people who don't know each other both reside at the same postcode and both had a dog called Rover*

*named changed for security reasons !grin!
