Sales roles within the porn/adult industries...?

So... It's been 3 months, and I'm bored witless of selling soggy cardboard.

Wasn't too bad at first; even in an industry significantly less exciting than (shall we say) paint exsiccation observation, there's still plenty to learn when you're shiny and new to it all.
In fact, were I to be allowed to use my initiative to develop creative solutions to the soggy cardboard requirements of my current and prospective clients, I expect that I could continue to enjoy my work indefinitely.

The above-mentioned 'initiative' not being company policy, however, I am forced to seek alternative employment before the mind-numbing routine causes my brain to atrophy to such a degree that I could work in the computer section of Dixons without appearing out of place.

So to the purpose of my post: How does one go about finding a sales role within the adult industry? TotalJobs, SalesTarget & my local agencies have all (unsurprisingly, let's face it) drawn a blank.

Any & all suggestions welcome; If anyone knows of an interesting position that is currently or soon to be available, please PM or email me!

(Up next: me talking about myself. Even more boring than the above. You have been warned!)

I have several years experience at all levels up to regional management in both direct-to-consumer and customer-facing sales roles; I am currently working as a B2B sales manager with field customer service & training as part of my remit. If you have a role which you think would interest me, please PM or email me and I will be happy to supply a copy of my CV including full contact details. No, I do not really sell soggy cardboard. That would just be silly.

Or more to the point, not clever enough by a noticeable margin.

C'est la vie.

(this is going to seem like the world's weirdest in-joke to anyone reading this thread for the first time :-P)

I need to open my eyes more, If they have changed from Dixons in the airports, I hadn't even noticed.

I think it's still Dixons at airports, Currys Digital everywhere else.

Thanks Dave, but I doubt that would make for a full-time job! I'm not in a position where I could go without some kind of guaranteed minimum income, at the moment. Shame , as I far prefer working for myself, but there we go.

And cebnobitez - whether the chain is extant these days or not, I stand by my choice of outlet; I've never known aywhere with sales staff who were more annoyingly useless than those in Dixons. Not only did they lack any product knowledge, customer care skills or personality but would also lie and bluff constantly in an attempt to give the impression of vast technical ability; and as poor an effort as this was, it would often fool the less savvy customers, leading to unsuitable or entirely useless purchases - and even, on a few memorable occasions, causing the loss of valuble (financially and/or sentimentally) data due to utterly wrong 'advice' on program installation and backup procedures.

Although, to be fair, I did end up making good money fixing some of the problems they caused, so I shouldn't complain too much :-P

Regretfully JJ at the moment in this country it is a FULL TIME job. That's the problem. This business will be dead here within 2 years at this rate.
