As the readers of this excellent forum may know, the Erotica exhibition goes t'up North for the weekend of March 21-23 at the GMex in Manchester. Yup, as we always knew, it's hard t'up North.

Given that the previous two BGAFD parties, brilliantly organised by yourself by all accounts, were in London and that, hopefully, a bevy of pornstars will be heading (all wrapped up in their winter woolies) northwards that weekend, is there any chance of a BGAFD 3 in Manchester that weekend - say, after exhibition closing time one night?

Give it a rest, I hear you say, I've just finished organising the previous one. Well, I'm sure that I or others who are based in the North West, can help sort out a suitable venue.

However, Wendy you are the one with a lot more contacts than us.
Although I could possibly get my Auntie Doris to attend given the offer of an unlimited supply of Bristol Cream sherry, it's hardly the same.

A sense of irony comes in handy sometimes. Of course, people don't talk like that.

so its not grim up north then,after all the best bands and stuff come from there so it must be good.

And I think you will find the saying is "its grim up north". Which it is in places but London is far more grim on balance.

Bloody southerners. We do have a sense of humour though....just last week myself and some fellow northerners laughed hysterically at a southerner who fell over and dropped his plate of jellied eels.

The phrase "t'" is an abbreviation of the word "the" so you used it in the wrong context. You could say for example "eh, up! I am off to t' pub" but not "blah blah expidition comes t'up north" as that would translate as "comes the up north". And in any event the t' thing is limited to a tiny part of the north.
