If you are using paypal for adult they can and will suspend your account if they find out.

It's not all bad news though. You can set up adult live shows like this http://www.nickilewis.com/private-cam-shows.html using windows media encoder and have Epoch handle the billing.

Hi Spuddy,

If you are happy with collecting the money yourself (e.g. Epoch as suggested) and starting/stopping the cam manually when the time is up, then Windows Media Encoder is a good method. It is free software from Microsoft (googling for it is easiest), and actually seems to work ok! We use it for our member webcams, along with some free chatroom software that appears in another window.

Windows Media Encoder converts your webcam images into WMV on-the-fly, ready to appear in the customer's Windows Media Player window. A drawback of Windows Media Encoder is there can be a 10 second (or more) delay in it appearing on the customer's screen - this is to do with the encoding and also buffering to prevent the webcam looking jerky. I've heard flash encoding is better for this but when I looked it seemed a whole lot more complex and I think required some relatively expensive software too. Other people may have more of an idea on that though.

In addition to Windows Media Encoder, if you want more than one or two people to see it at once then you will need a type of "relay" server for your broadcasts. This is because each simultaneous viewer will be using their own bandwidth from your PC. We use http://www.audiovideoweb.com - good value, good service and they are fine with any content as long as it's legal. Let me know if that's of interest and you want to know more at all.

If on the otherhand you are more interested in putting together a type of cams.com site with all the bells and whistles, then there are services you pay a monthly fee to that will do it all pretty much - you just need webcams and models. One I came across when looking is http://www.esensualnetworks.com but I can't vouch for them at all.

Cheers,
James
