Whats the best way to convert 720p 1080i to DV

Hi Guys
Whats the best way/programme to convert 720p/1080i to Dv AVI to edit & put back on mini DV.

The source is what? MOV?
What's you're platform MAC or PC?

I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and Avid Liquid 7.2

thanks Jedi & Eddie i am recording onto a 2GB SD & i use a Windows Vista computer. I have Sony Vegas but its an old version not for HD, whats the best priced software that does this?

If you are recording HD onto SD I am guessing that you are recording in AVCHD as apposed to HDV. If it is the former then your options may be limited. Amazon are doing Vegas 8 Movie Studio Platinum Ed for less than ?50 here:

I'm not sure about it's abilty to export to tape so I would check that first.
Ulead Video Studio is another possibility. I have used neither so can't comment too much.
