Submitting material to adult TV channels?

Hi
I've recently started watching some of the adult channels like Television X and Red Hot TV and although I'm not a professional cameraman, I can work a camera and know my way around Premiere so I was thinking I could create my own videos and submit them to these channels.
Does anyone know how I go about this? Obviously I know about model releases and how to edit for TV and the like but I don't know how to actually submit the videos. I know some of these channels ask for homemade videos (paying ?250 a pop) with a genuine amateur feel, but I was thinking about making something just a little bit more professional. I don't mean to cast any disrespect over the quality of some of the content I've seen on these channels, but I do believe that even as an amateur I could create content of at least equal quality. I suppose if they're deliberately filmed in an amateur fashion for some reason and if that's what they want then I can do the same.
My background is in video editing, but recently my role has expanded to encompass filming and basic lighting so I'd like to use that experience to create adult material and have a bit of fun at the same time. This will only be a part time job for me; something to do on a lazy weekend, so I'm not looking to make a career out of it.
I don't have any material yet, and as I will be paying the models from my own pocket I only really want to create material when I know someone will be interested in buying it, but so far I have not received any replies from any of the TV channels I've emailed. It's likely that I'm not emailing the right people but I simply don't know any better. I've also tried to sell some photos to magazines but have had no replies so I've gotten the impression that maybe it's a closed industry to private individuals.
I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction to getting videos shown on TV. I'd like to know what the terms would be, rates of pay, any specific content that there is a demand for, anything that I need to know before actually spending my own money and creating the videos, and most importantly who I need to speak to to get this done. I'm sure some of you nice people must have made some videos that have been shown on TV at some point so please, any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Toby
