Buy a decent microphone. I use a senheiser. people usually settl for the on board mic which is crap. Panasoncis and Sonys in builts are usually very good. Though I found the original 3ccd Panasonic that came out years ago was by far the best damn sound when playd back through an amplifier.

I use an external Rode NTG-2 currently but previously had the 1.

Unless it has mic/headphone jack and a accessory shoe I wouldnt buy the camera.

You need an external mic.

If camera sound is an issue, an L clamp helps get the mic further from the camera. That couple of inches can make a big difference.

We have been using HD for years and the internal mike does an excellent job in doors. Outside we have external wireless Mikes which do the job.
