For the attention of all UK adult entertainers

May I invite you to attend the 153rd Session of the University College Dublin Literary and Historical Society as a special guest of the society, to speak at our Debate about pornograpy. We would be extremely honoured if you would be interested in taking the time to attend for the benefit of the society and the students of UCD.

The L&H was founded in 1855 by Cardinal John Henry Newman, and remains to this day at the forefront of student discussion and debate in UCD as the largest and most distinguished student society in the country. In recent years the society has been addressed by such diverse figures as Nobel laureates FW DeKlerk, John Hume and Seamus Heaney as well as Germaine Greer, John Howard, Jesse Jackson, Bill Bryson, Gov. Bill Owens, Margaret Atwood, Noam Chomsky and Mary Robinson amongst others. We have also been addressed by every Taoiseach and President in the history of the Irish state. It would be a great pleasure for us if we could add your name to this distinguished list.

On 19th September the Society will hold our pornography debate, where we will debate this contentious issue. Given your position as an adult actress, we feel that you would make an invaluable contribution to the evening. We feel that the evening would not be complete without an insight into the industry from someone who truly understands how it works.

While you are probably are extremely busy with requests of a similar nature, I feel confident that a trip to UCD, and the massive ovation that you will receive here, make this a very special invitation. Above all, I can promise you a very enjoyable and memorable visit to the college.

Many thanks in advance for considering our invitation. Should you have any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to contact me personally. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

convenor@literaryandhistorical.com

What does the adult industry to defend itself from in your opinion? It's hardly causing moral outrage these days.

The industry still comes under fire in Ireland quite frequently and is often accused of causing general society to become more sexualised.

For credibility, I think you need a woman - -someone like Wendy or Isabel Ice or Lara Latex...

I've lived in Ireland, and the whole porn thing is nothing like it is here, it's as though porn doesn't exist over there, or was last time i was there!
