Mail me direct Rico jim@gdbtv.com. I am trying to organise a producer day where you guys can come down and see the potential. These guys are bigger than any Sat channel right now by a mile. The aim to be bigger than NTL/Virgin Media within a year. I have bet on it happening.

Does iptv come under the remit of OFCOM?

I suppose if it's R18 then it doesn't (OFCOM doesn't allow R18 on terrestrial).

OFCOM are barred from regulating IPTV or any delivery via the web, they also cannot regulate VOD. I beleve the BBFC could in time and so R18 is hard enough for me, if the content or the publisher is in UK then he could be regulated or prosecuted,

It has happened, have just paid out 15million Euros for boxes, they expect every man to his part, buy them and watch 18R TV. In Hi-definition if you like, I have a few here I am using on demo, looks great to me, even the live streams are about VHS quality at 400k. The market will drive this, a few days ago I was with the guy who build the shopping channels ideas. In his opinion there will be 500 shopping channels on IPTV in less than two years. Porn will play such a small part to it all it will simply be ignored. Remeber it is behind a black door. No freeviews in the normal zone. Two PIN's to get in and the second one comes from the channel.

Need to register to watch softcoreporn on satellite and enter pin and still can't see hardcore action. May get porn on this fancy box for a few days but they will find a way of blocking hardcore content. Remember it is Britain we live in!!!!! Big Gov will be watching

They won't block it, have they blocked the internet, they cannot block anything without the agreement of the ISP...ME.... and I don't agree, I will work as close as I can to the BBFC regulatons as they decide what goes on a video, their regalations do not stipulate Video/DVD they say any media well a download is a file and that is a form of media. Most important with the internet you pull the file, with broadcast it is pushed out. Our group are spending 20 million on this we have alread spent 10million on set-top boxes that Vehda will instal for a tenner a month minimum package.
