I may be moving in to making my own dvd films but I have no idea on how to distribution them to sex shops or get them in sex catalogues

I know I can sell them on my website but I would also like to try and get them on the shelves too

If anybody can please help me or can give me a clue on how to get them in the market place I would be happy to chat with you

Hi James

If you are going to sell them in sex shops then the first thing you need to do is get them classified with the British Board of Film Classification. It works out roughly at 7GBP per minute I think now.

You want to be careful about selling them on your website as well unless they are for downloading. The stupid law at the moment means that you can sell to the UK via mail order only if you live in France, Spain, America.....or anywhere except in the UK. If you mail from the UK then you are breaking the Obscene Publications Act. Basically the only way you can sell R18 movies is in licenced sex shops in the UK. The only other alternative is to get in touch with companies who can distribute your films over the net, or do it yourself either by streaming or downloading.

clipsforsale.com could be an option for you.

I hope I have been a bit of help but the best thing to do is to contact the BBFC and ask them advice, they are really helpful.

I think there are some distributers here on the BGAFD website but they might want you to have so many hours of footage before they consider distributing for you.

Regards

James

Hi,

When you have you certificated film duplicated, give me a call and we can orgaise distribution for you.

We just pressed 2000 each of our first 4 fetish titles and in the first month moved around 1500 units of each.

We have been in the publishing business for over 11 years and deal with many of the major uk wholesalers

Derek
