Hi all,

After posting on here looking for work, i was contacted via msn by a guy who claimed to be an amatuer, asking what my levels and rates were, i gave him all the info he requested, confirmed the content to be B/G solo girl, and watersports! we agreed on my fee, and he offered to book the train tickets, as ?75 to get from Nottingham to Fareham was a bit steep for me to pay out!

I got a contact number, and exchanged text messages double checking times, content, location ect, as 9.5 hours travelling time was alot for a days shoot, and i didn't want to get all the way down there and him do a no-show on me!

So, we sorted a date out for the shoot (today) and i tried to ring him yesterday, no answer, and no reply to the texts i sent! so i'm taking it as he can't be bothered to confirm or cancel with me, and is therefore a timewaster!

I'm a good girl, i always turn up, and i've never cancelled a shoot! so why do i seem to be plagued by these so called photographers, who's intention is to cause nothing but inconvience? i give all the info anyone asks for, tell them i'll need some travel expenses, and m up front about my do's and don'ts!

So now i'm sat at home, twiddling my thumbs yet again with no work!

So if anyone wants to offer me any work for today, or tomorrow please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Also, is there anyway that models can get references for these so called amatuers??

Sorry for moaning but this isn't fair!

Sorry to hear you've been screwed over.

This sort of thing pisses me off. It's totally unfair wasting someone elses time like this and the worst thing is there's nothing you can do about it.

I was wondering if you could have taken a deposit off him but then that doesn't work if it's the person who takes the deposit that pulls a no-show.

I've never done a no show! i've never cancelled, or asked to rearrange a shoot!

All this guy has done is earn himself negative feedback, and if anyone wants his MSN address or email address let me know!

Not only have i turned down other work for this guy, i now can't pay bills that have come in, and it's frustrating that certain people in this industry haven't any manners or common decency left!!!

This is the first time i've come accross someone rude like this, i've had people cancel on me, but they've had the decency to tell me!

I do hope he sees this post, and it makes him think twice about messing models about!

Nobody knows who he is so if he's brazen enough, he could actually do it again. I doubt every model will message you to find out his details.

Sorry to hear you are constantly getting this kind of behaviour. Sometimes when I read stories like this it really does make me appreciate the work that agents do for us talent in our day to day work.

I know that everybody at some point has whinged about agency fees or producers who have tried to cut out the middle man and cut costs but really, when you weigh it up against these kind of experiences then I think it kind of balances out.

I prefer working through an agent simply for reliability and assurance, especially with new or unkown producers. If you dont already know, which I am sure you do, the contact details of the three main agencies then drop me an email and I will be more than happy to send them to you.

But, at the end of the day us models need some sort of refernce system, it'll save on girls getting booked and having their time wasted! it works both ways though!
