Disillusioned with the Industry

Well here goes.

I am disillusioned with the adult industry. I am an emotional person that wants to take everyone's burdens onboard and after hearing so many heart breaking stories that touched me I have decided to stop making porn. I felt my heart was darkening. I am not condemning porn - I think it is great but I think my site was not a happy one towards the last few weeks.

Plus I fucked up my back big time and was getting no sleep, drinking more and more and feeling like some cheap frills pervert.

After speaking over this weekend to my very good friends Andy T, MrMark and Yrez I have decided to stop doing porn at least in the short term - as MrMark says I need a 'Porn Holiday'.

I do have many more updates for the site but currently do not want to video or photograph porn.

I will say that it has been entertaining as well sometimes in this business

I wish all you models and togs the best of luck and will not change into some hater of porn because the work all you guys and girls is great and very well done.

The site will continue but with more erotic style content rather than in-your-face style shoots although I won't necessarily shoot the more explicit stuff myself.

I will be looking in a few months time for models to pose to artistic nude BUT not right now

A big thank you to the following for their support :-
Mr X
MrMark
Angel D
Yrez
Andy T
Jane / StarDust
Nick - Mr TMC
Steve J
Emily Cartwright
Roy
Emily S
Jason K
Honey B
And Uncle Bob

And to all the lovely people in the industry

And any I have missed - big apologies,

Lots of love to you all,

Hmm. i think I know where you are coming from but does this necessarily apply to just porn? If you were a policeman or a social worker or anyone in the line of dealing with people everyday, people will always tell you things that will get to you.

I think worse than this is that you know you are consciously sweeting a girl up for her to do porn (yes I'm being honest the selfish evil pornographer that I am) but then you run the risk of getting too much into the 'friend zone' then the girls will feel all weirded out that you get to see them naked doing intimate things. Bang! Game over.

I remember a weird response I got when a girl was telling me about a certain photographer trying it on persistently and I'm uh- humming yeah yeah what do you expect? You are fit, pretty and this is the porn industry. He's a red blooded bloke who shoots porn for a living equals he thinks you are game because of what you do and who you did it with. If she gave me the hint, what things I would have liked to do with her is no ones business. She was shocked and had no idea I was like that. Gasp. Shock . Surprise.

I FUCKING MAKE PORN MOVIES!!!! WHAT DID YOU THINK I WAS ABOUT?????

Like anything you dont want to do. Just say no. Or politely refuse. This can be a civil business after all.

I've done my time being a counsellor before getting into this business. If a girl is seriously screwed up emotionally or needs drugs to do it then she shouldnt do porn. Usually I can see these types coming and stay well clear. You know these types when you hear tick-tock-tick-tock, tick-tock!

You cant nurse peoples problems while shagging them. I'm a pornographer not a psychological counsellor.

That doesnt mean I'm an unfeeling bastard either LOL

If you are unhappy doing porn then you are doing the right thing by not doing it because if you cease to enjoy it this will show in your performance, most occupations have their downtimes and the adult industry is no different, its good that you have said you are not knocking porn because im sure it must have opened other doors for you as it does for most people who get involved in the biz, i probably would never have picked up a camera or learnt to use a computer if it hadnt have been for porn and i wish you all the best for the future whatever your chosen career.

Move to a sunny location to shoot porn if it's still pissing you off take time out and sell bibles on the beach, it won't get you away from the cavalcade of cunt but you will be more relaxed about looking at it !! Best of luck !

Bloody hell I forgot to mention Shopgirl. Big apologies. She has been a gem.

She produces excellent videos (Yes I am biased and Yes I do know her) and I will enjoy these more now.

As said in previous posts I have learnt about how much damn hard work goes into making videos and images and all of this isn't just porn - it is art - an expression of sexuality plus makes me feel hot. lol

I think all of you do a damned good job and it would be nice to see a documentary that shows what a friendly lot all of you are rather than the crap I have seen slagging of the porn industry.

Right ... time to sell those bibles... lol

I kind of take issue with that comment. I'd side with her, in that despite what people's preconceptions about porn are (every model is a nympho, every porn set is an orgy, etc), a photographer/videographer has no business making suggestive comments to a model or actress, no matter how filthy what she does looks on tape. It's completely unprofessional. I do stuff to myself on camera that my parents would disown me if they knew about, but that doesn't mean I'll just f*ck anyone who asks nicely.

I shouldn't have to say 'no'. The question shouldn't be asked in the first place. End of story.

And for the record, Matt is a perfect gentleman who wouldn't dream of propositioning a girl just because of the naughty stuff she does for a living. I very much doubt that his choice to move away from pornography has anything to do with his behaviour, which is nothing short of exemplary.

Matt

Wot a shame you are quitting - although i've not met you in person when ever we have spoken you have been great.

I'm sure i speak for many of the models you have worked with (esp KazB, Sandie, Kimberly and Angel D - who i have had the pleasure of working with) when i say you are an absolute gent.

Good luck in whatever you do - keep in touch.

Your website is/was brilliant.

Best Rgds

Perhaps the key word in the original example is 'persistently'. Trying it on once isn't excusable, but we're not robots and let's suppose he was overcome by lust and made a suggestion .. it happens in every workplace. The greater fault is not hearing and not understanding 'No', and persisting with his requests that then amount to harrassment.

You shouldn't have to say no, but if you do you should only have to say it once.
