Channel 4 get nasty.

No, not that kind of nasty! Sorry for the dissapointment.

This is about that C4 documentary 'Hardcore'. I sent Princnipal Films an email asking them to respond to a few questions, and they sent me back an email today, advising me that they are forwarding the email to Channel 4's 'LEGAL DEPARTMENT' who will be in touch with me shortly!! Unbelievable!!

Rather then answer the rather simple questions, they get all heavy handed. I can't wait to hear what possible kind of legal action Channel 4 think they can make just for asking some quesitons.

Anyway. It's all on my site for anyone interested in finding out more.

Matt.

When a TV channel sensationalises a subject like pornography, and then tries to take the moral high ground in subsequent debates, I am with Matt all the way in pushing for some sort of down to earth justification for their actions. Referrring the thing the "Legal Department" suggests that they are actually on the defensive.
I don't think the matter is boring.

It might just be the usual response they give so that they don't drop themselves in it, especially after the way Nasty and Hardcore were portrayed. Anyone know if either guy is taking action against C4?

BTW, for anyone interested in the Rough Sex series, I have now seen number 1. I actually found it disgusting to watch. Tears running down someone's cheek while they are being roughed up is no fun, especially when the end credits (I fast forwarded to the end as there was another short film on the tape) show laughing and joking. As if to say "It's all right guys. She might have looked scared for her life but it was all acting". Nobody's acting is that good, especially in porn circles.

You seem to be under the illusion that everything requires your comment. It doesn't. I know a number of people are interested in further developments regarding this, and I posted this as an update - not necessarily a point of discussion.

I think it would be FANTASTIC if Max Hardcore took action against Channel 4 and the whole production crew, but I can't see it happening. I'm still waiting to hear from this 'legal department' and I'll give it a couple of weeks, but if I hear nothing, I'll re-send my email.

Far from boring, I'm finding this whole thing fascinating.

hi, matthew e. Please don't think that I'm trying to bug you, but having read your post, which I thought was dripping with sarcasm, I visited the website. Actually, I thought it was pretty good. Sorry.
