CHANNEL 4 EDUCATION PROGRAMME

We are producing a series of programmes for Channel 4 Education and are asking for your help by taking part in the programmes and giving your views. The programmes are aimed at young people from 14-24, are shown at 10 am on weekdays and are used in schools as discussion tools.

The programmes are made up of a wide range of young people sharing their views, opinions and advice when it comes to sexual health, happiness, body image and relationships.

Lots of the young people interviewed for the programmes so far reference pornography as an important part of their sex-education and sex-life and have lots of questions about how ?real? pornography is. I would like to involve a porn actress/actor in the series' mix as I think it would be a good way of answering these questions and reinforcing the idea that whoever we are, however confident we appear, we all have the same universal worries, hopes and expectations when it comes to sex.

Our series is not about porn, however. Nor is it some kind of sensationalist expose. The series is made up of young people's views and questions and therefore is an honest reflection of what young people care about and what they are interested in when it comes to sex and relationships.

If you are interested in taking part or simply want more info ? please get in touch with me either by email: emily.smith@zkktv.com or on the phone: +44 1273 648 366.

I work for an independent production company called ZKK South, which has been commissioned by Channel 4 Education to make this series.

Thanks,
Emily (Smith)
Producer/Director

I think there is a difference between this request for participants to take part in a probably serious and educational programme for young people on sexual health and related themes, and the usual prurient, salacious, 'all porn is evil' type of programme we rightly stay clear of.
