Payment systems

Hi guys, I am currently having 15% taken off each transaction as my website is not hardcore but I am doing a hardcore website very soon and I have been told for adult its 25% taken off each transaction. I could use my banks merchant account for the non adult website which will bring it down to 5% but I have been told that banks can be very funny about the slightest thing near adult or glamour.

The company I am using is called textbill and they are based in South London.

Any advice or help on what other peoples rates are would be greatly appreciated.

Regards James

Go for CCBill, I think they start at around 15-16% regardless of the type of content.

DUMP TextBill ASAP, Sean O Conner is right Nasty piece of Work and Should be AVOIDED at all Costs.

CCBill and Verotel both Process Payments for Adult Websites and CHARGE A LOT LESS than 25%. Both CCBill and Verotel ALSO have a Support team on hand to assist with with setting the "backroom" techie stuff and Affilate Schemes in place to help Promote YOUR Product.

OK...

For UK debit cards acceptance... Paycom EU :) They're almost as old as CCBill and are ok with their 24/7 support Their wm admin area sucks but that is the only prob.

Most affiliates will only work with CCBill or Paycom based sites, so keep Verotel as a last resort.

If you'd like contact details for the peeps at either CCBill or Paycom, who I know quite well, email me for details, as they will help/talk you through it all :)

Coulomb/Global run dialler/SMS from here in the UK and I can help you with them as well.

Don't forget you can use more than one payment system for a site! Just have a few links, labelled for what each one will accept. I know with CCbill (and presumably others) you can set up a 'failed' page so that if someone's payment fails with one provider, they get taken to another to try rather than just getting redirected. If you set up a PO box, you can even have them send you a cheque/cash if all else fails!

Most processors will charge 15% or thereabouts for an adult site, regardless of content, so 25% is far too much to pay.

Totally agree with Joe A and JJ. I used CCBill for mostly outside UK traffic and have Paycom set up as an option for those who don't have a CC but have cards Switch and Solo.

I looked at ccbill and it shows a big setup fee for eah site and I have 11 volumes/members areas so it would be loads to setup. Textbill are free to setup and help a lot. I will have to get them down on the percentage.

Thanks for all your help.

James...

Don't panic that's for US webmasters only... you need CCBill EU :)

Outside the US there is no $750 Visa and Mastercard set up fee... It's free LOL
