Mad Burt will be able to tell you what you need !whistle!

I used to use Premier Pro but got fed up with its foibles and switched to Vegas. Worth the money but out of your price range.

You might want to take a look at Pinnacle. I'm not personally a fan of anything Pinnacle, we just didn't gel, but one or two out there use it and it comes in all sorts of flavours. So I'm sure you can get some feedback on what you need.

Hi Jaques

Good answer .. Where is Mad Burt as he's been quiet for so long :)

Pinnacle is the easiet programme to use but try to get Vers 9 and not 10, as I've heard from many that the later vers. crashes all the time. Even with Avid buying the company it seems the glitches haven't been fixed .

Pinnacle is quick and easy to use but as Joe said dont get the latest version (10) I have had nothing but problems with it and have gone back to using version 9

Good luck to you and have fun.

Yup and when you have it, get the current Studio 9 upgrades from their site, if this is below vers 9.43 or similar :)

It really is a doddle to use

Avid Free DV - and as it's says it's free

Good piece of software to get you going in non-linear editing.
