Thanks for posting this George.
The main points we are discussing are posted over on the
Producers Board and if you are a UK Producer wanting to promote your product you would be a fool not to attend. Big things are happening don't miss out!

guys its just an idea and no doubt some one will tell me to go f*** myself but having read some of the ideas over on the other board wouldnt it be better to get the dvd producers together rather than anyone in the industry. a stand at venus with british web masters would be treated as the rest but a stand of producers may just be the answer. im just in the process of buying a small set up and its notable there are a few producers missing from the get togethers who easily have the cash to fund the things you are chatting about but are a little wiery of investment because of this sittuation. im sure if you test the water first the boat will float

Having been in touch with a number of webmasters who's sites are based on videos, they are looking to release them on Dvd's whether in the UK as BBFC certified or from abroad. Some have tested the waters in the past by having Dvd's released and now want to go further....
Those who are are currently involved in the project as you've read, are the most active in the UK, and are the best known in the industry. What has been discovered is that some producers think they're above joining or due to circumstances, are wary because of personal differences. This last point would be ignored if it helps to bring more producers together.
If you came to a meeting you might find out more than you think you know from just reading a post. You would hear the spoken word at the time it's said
If anyone has the video content and the aspiration to have it released on Dvd, then by coming to a meeting, they will get the chance to meet others who could help them reach their goal.
I know that at the moment there has been no input from those in the fetish/bdsm side of the biz. Having spoken to one or two of them, I know they are interested in the project. There is no one who produces gay material either.
The "UK Adult Producers" project is a positive step to make UK productions seen all over the world in a far better light than it is today. So far from the past meetings if the impetus carries on... It will be.

how about if you WANT to be a producer but are not actually in the industry yet and your looking for a break. Would that be allowed?

i'm not having a go at any web masters or anything like that its just that for me to get a title out in runs of 2500 based on 5 girl features i'm bending close to 6 grand for final stock but i know for the web boys its not even close to that figure as all they have is a file. sorry but i cant see what we have in common other than the web boys do it cheaper grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Burt..
a) A shoot costs the same for everyone....
b) The only difference in having a film BBFC'd and being sold uncertified is the BBFC cost. Your Choice sell the productions of those you call "webmasters" as an example, but they're still full on Dvd's. I know of one webmaster who's negotiating with YC now. He produces bdsm material which can be used legally on his web site, but would never pass BBFC
c) The main object is to push sales of UK productions abroad, so no BBFC certification would be required, therefore costs drop for a start.
From your posts you make it obvious that you do think yourself to be one of those above webmasters, some of whom make more money from having their productions being just on their sites, than some producers do from having BBFC films released... Maybe you could learn something from them
One of the very active people involved was just a webmaster till last year when his first BBFC Dvd was released, being very successful and has also been released in the States, and his second is about to appear... Don't put anyone down !
There are a lot more webmasters sitting on footage that is worth it's weight in gold but need help from others to profit from it. The UK Adult Producers can help them
I had a well known adult biz person and his porn star g/f over for dinner last night. He is neither a webmaster nor producer but he has some amazing footage. He just doesn't know where to start. He's coming to the meeting to add his input and to hopefully learn

Burt come to the meeting and learn that there is very little difference when it comes to releasing a Dvd.. We all want the same result.. To earn money
I know producers who have no understanding of web sites, so it goes both ways. A lot of sales are now made on line and there are producers who need webmasters to teach them how to do this properly... Selling is our biz not just adverising our products
I recently started a project to sell one producers material. He couldn't see at first how my idea would work. He does now, as I make regular sales for him. A lot of changes are happening on the net at the moment, and a webmaster see's these before most producers.
I've looked at most UK producers sites and I've noticed one thing in common with most of them and those who are my friends I've given advice to, and they've accepted my comments as being correct. In fact I told one producer about something on his site and had to apologise, as I missed what I was looking for. The shame is this site is the only one that is pointing in the right direction out of the many. I spoke to another and he admitted that he had thought about what I told him but hadn't got round to it yet
So please stop all the negative comments till you've been to a meeting, or even spoken to the webmasters you continue to put down...
