The problems I have with strippers/lapdancers/poledancers is similar.

There's one particular girl who somehow manages to lose her phone on an almost monthly basis. I call her, text her, even leave voicemails with others to get her to call me and 3/4 days after the day of the booking she would have been perfect for I get a call saying "sorry babes I lost my phone, did you want me for something?"

On the strip scene, the most "professional" in terms of always returning calls/texts promptly, or informing you of address/phone/email changes are the Brazillians, followed by the east Europeans.

Many of us who frequent these forums have had over 20 years experience of this long before mobiles and emails. It just seems to be a British thing. It will never stop !

The problem is, becoming a model causes several unusual things to happen.

1. You relatives will die at the rate of one per week.

2. You will have eight periods a month.

3. You flat will flood every three days

4. Your car breaks down every fortnight

5. You lose your mobile once a week.

6. You have your handbag (containing mobile) stolen every weekend.

7. You have e-mail problems on a daily basis

8. Taxis never turn up

9 trains always leave early

10 You split up with your boyfriend every night before a shoot.

Remember, above all else, a booking is only an option for that day, if something else comes up, just forget about honourig your commitments.

I had a photographer friend tell me about a model who called him up during the week of their second shoot, and told him she'd had a higher paid job offer for the same day, and if he couldn't match the pay.. She'd do the other shoot... LOL

What a lot of models may not realise is that most togs/producers do talk to each other, and the regular no shows do become known for this, and so get less work.
