Ok folks here goes?. I might be barking up the wrong tree but no harm in asking. I am currently in a full time job I don?t intend on leaving for the next 5 yrs. However I have just done a small video production course and non linear editing course, on that note I bought myself a canon xl1 camera and avid editing suite (slowly building up my little empire).
I am on the look out for producers who need a part time cameraman or models for that matter. I don?t wish to be paid for any work I just want to gain in experience in the field I wish to make a career. I feel I am quite competent at filming and can produce a reasonably professional looking end edit. So if anyone out there who doesn?t mind taking me under their wing on a shoot I would greatly appreciate it. Jim

Watch lots of porn and dont make the mistake of doing what is done hundred fold already. Keep it hot. Hot doesnt mean girls taking it up the arse screaming "FUCK ME STINKING WHORE BITCH!" and try and avoid the excessive spitting and unnessary hair pulling and you may well be on the road to making a name for yourself within this industry...Oh, and find your own girls. He who has the girls, is King.
Don't be afraid to be critical of your work, or demanding and don't settle for just filming naked girls and having a huge ego that you are re-inventing the wheel...We've got plenty of those in the biz already...and be nice...and don't be tight with your money.

thanks for the advice, however i understand there is plenty of sleazy crap out there, i do intend on making sexy footage. but your points are duly noted and have been taken on board..
i just have one problem though and that is finding my own girls at this stage, as asking them in the street to appear in front of the camera would normally be met by a slap and a chase by the local constabulary lol. but thanks again..jim

Nowt wrong with a bit of sleaze. A dash of sleaze and a spoonful of sexy can be quite a combination. Its the difference between feeling a scene and not, but this comes with experience.
You can get all technical and compromise on the sex. I prefer to do it the other way round. Your audience will forgive you.
