lamest excuse for no show

What's the lamest excuse any producer/photographer ever had for a model not showing up for a shoot? Thought I've had it all before but this one will take some beating!

I booked a model(Identity protected) thru an agency couple of weeks ago and she didn't turn up for shoot (no show) and didn't phone to say she won't be turning up. Contacted the agency for explanation and apparently she didn't turn up for shoot because she was bitten by a dog on the morning of the shoot and had to go to hospital, hehehe, how lame is that? I couldn't help but laugh my head off despite the pain of no shows, still had to laugh at this one.

anyone got a better excuse? lol

well that is quite a good excuse compared to some I have heard, so it could be true, who knows. Have you posted about her on no-shows ?

Tom, I can understand your disappointment about the no show but sometimes you have to give people the benefit of the doubt. Without knowing what losses you've sustained as a result sometimes these things just happen. Not turning up because she just didnt feel like it has to be the worst excuse for any producer to hear. Hopefully it didnt cost you too much but that alas is the nature of this business.

I've heard worse from more professional

Chessie Moore (old American porn star) once told us that her dog gave her the best face (pussy licking) she ever had. Makes you wonder don't it ??

Best excuse I had was, "My mother doesn't think its enough money. She wants me to be a prostitute instead"

Sound advice if you're that way inclined, if not a bit cynical and cold but for those who like the glitz and glam of being in front of a camera theres a big difference between being a performer and a brass in terms of attitude...or is that a thin line to some?

I don't see awards and bashes for the best hooker of the year though.

faye, you cud have turned up for the shoot still very drunk!! lol I know i wouldn't complain.
drunk models somehow gives better performance on shoot.

you could be rite one eyed jack. I might give the model benefit of the doubt and re-book her again for future projects.

I wish she didn't get bitten for real tho coz dog bites are nasty!!

Bad doggy! Grrr!!! Bad doggy!....I could tell you a few stories about drunk girls too. If too inebriated, they could turn out quite embarrassing. A glass or two is enough to get anyone relaxed, but some girls don't know when to stop and that is when you get on the wrong side of a video shoot.
