How 'bout a XXX tsunami relief dvd then guys? :)

Can't think why no-one's suggested this before!! With every A, B & minor C-list celebrity in Britain seemingly falling over backwards trying to get on the Tsunami relief for Asia charity bandwagon at the moment, could'nt the Brit-porn industry similarly show it's support too? Surely regular posters such as One-eyed Jack & Marino could use their considerable industry clout, and lean on a few charitable babes & back-room boys to provide their services for free!! And maybe mail-order suppliers such as the R18 DVD Shop would agree to sell the finished product online for a peppercorn profit margin...help me on this one, won't you guys? Big thanks to lovely Faye Rampton for putting the idea in my head, by querying girls f**king for free in her "loser alert!!!!!!!!!" thread...
Anyone think there's any mileage in this? I'd buy it anyway !!

A very good idea Wig Billy and something that has crossed my mind several times. I've even asked girls if they are interested in doing a porno bikini car wash for charity and the like and for the most part, girls seem up for it, its just avoiding a possible riot on the day.
Now I'm involved with distribution its something worth considering seriously but the Tsunami Aid has officially closed due to its runaway success.
Porn doing stuff for charity is nothing new. Wendy organised a charity raffle at the BGAFD events.

I totally agree. However, the UN has said the Tsunami has enough cash. This did detract from the focus that we should now give to Africa, as this could be a big year for Africa with the Make Poverty History campaign. I truly think a charity porn dvd is definitely worthwhile, and would show that porn can be charitable and maybe, as a by product, bring some attention to the uk porn industry. Come on producers, make a concerted effort and get it done.

Was mulling this over in the sauna earlier - this compy could be made for peanuts if producers each simply donated an existing scene from their archives - it only needs six or seven industry stalwarts each willing to donate a scene, and this thing's up & running. If the punter sees a good variety of big industry names on the cover, and he's getting two and a half hours for twenty quid, this thing would sell itself. The payoff for companies donating the material is that they get their names in front of unaquainted punters - okay, so most folk have heard of Ben Dover, but far less are familiar with Relish, or Marino's road trips, and if the submitted scenes are sizzling 24-carat filth, the returns from raised consumer awareness of their product could be formidable...
Okay, so the Tsunami appeal itself has been closed, but there's plenty of other needy concerns with palms outstreched. But if an industry mover such as One-Eyed Jack is prepared to just sit on the idea for now, and set the wheels in motion the next time a third-world disaster surfaces, then maybe there's some mileage in this. Hell, I could've sold five copies to the guys in the sauna earlier - that's a hundred quid for starters...!!
good idea !

Me & john have donated to the tsunami relief a couple of times as i bet most have on here, we feel WigBilly's idea is a good one & its something that could work.
For years the customers have wanted a compilation of all the best producers on 1 or 2 disc's which would be a massive hit, as it was for charity perhaps the BBFC could wave their charge & some printing & press houses could help out. We & a couple of other producers are up for idea & would like to hear from any more who think this would work.

If you guys were watching TV last night..they are now questioning the whereabouts of the money given to the Tsunami relief..corruption is rife in these countries, not only in Africa but Asia as well.
Money is the root of all evil...
It showed these poor souls STILL poking around with sticks instead of showels, nothing has changed.
Charity begins at home...when money has to be channelled throu' governments you are on a losing streak.Be warned!

I really doubt the BBFC would waive their fees for such a venture but I could be wrong. Worth a try. The thing is (and I hate to rain on anyones parade) who do you trust to run this operation? There are not many people you can trust in this industry and worse still, if the shops don't go for it, it aint getting off the ground...Hmmm, I'm a bit sceptical whether this will work.
Why should only the producers fork out? If its done for charity, it should be a concerted effort on everyones part. I'm happy to shoot and edit it but what's the point of spending a grand on a scene if everyone is getting paid for it anyway.
Still, worth thinking about though.

Hello to everyone
Great Minds Think Alike
I would like to introduce myself; I?m Naz from Fig Productions. After the Tsunami disaster we decided action was needed and together with Scandal Productions we decided to do something constructive in the industry. We are now in the process of setting up a charity. Our registration is held with the Charities Commission and we are awaiting confirmation of status. But as others have pointed out on the forum the Tsunami appeal is now closed. Our intentions then turned back to Africa with its AIDS, poverty problems, paedophilia, homelessness, and ill-treated women. This is a great stepping stone for our industry to make it?s voice heard and show that we are human beings, not the pervy, sleazy creatures the English media still likes to portray.
We have put the wheels in motion to produce a film(s) solely for sale as a charitable venture with all profits going to the causes mentioned above.
Already we have had offers of services from our accountant, solicitor, and models that will dedicate their time, and pledges of intent to donate.
We are looking for more ideas, pledges of work, other models, locations, distributors, and exhibition organisers and anyone who feels they can help or offer support in any way possible no matter how small.
Please contact Naz@fig-productions with any suggestions or comments. Or post on the forum.

Did anyone actually bother reading my post? seriously, the Tsunami has enough money. Africa is crying out for help. All proceeds should go to th Make Poverty History campaign or
