Hi,Can anyone give me a short discription of how DVDs are distributed in the u.k.
Ive started a new production Co.(yawn, not another wannabe.I hear you think!)I found this site to be one of the best for info and research into the ups and downs of the u.k. adult market.
How many U.K. made DVDs get released in the U.S.A.?Are there U.S. Production Cos. or distributors who buy U.K. dvds Rights?
Is it easyer to shoot, edit,Author master copy on dvd+ send that to pressing plant to make glass copy to make copys let them assign barcode to packaging?Or do the whole lot yourself, or send DVD+ master to distribution Co. and let them handel everything(off course its cost dependent on number of copies to be made I know)What is the avarage number of sales per title,in my research 10,000 would be considerd a very good(Guardian unltd.)Is there an industry standerd for a % to production Co. Distributor, retail ,(in my reserch I read that a Distributor would sell a title for ?6 to retail outlets, how much dose the production co. get?)is it easyer to sell from outside the u.k. to avoid B.B.F.C. Classification. How often do mail orders get stoped within the u.k. and prosecuted or is a blind eye turned?(although I am looking to get 18r certification)
Any advice from you seasoned Pros. would be very much appreciated or anyone intrested in discusing Distributing please e mail me.I have got a web site www.akingproduction.com this is just a mock up for the time being until I've got something in the can(or D.V. Tape)

I've always got something else to do LOL

Editing, updates, promotion, customer service, etc, etc...
and then start all over again the next day....

Fun ain't it ;)
