Never understood the reasons: quantity of product (versus other countries' porn output?),
frequent re-issue of old titles? The fact that many movies do not have billed/cast
names on box covers or on-screen credits (which in itself generates a lot of "who is this?"
and "unknown" listings dropped in this database? More porn consumers in Germany

What is "German porn"?
- German actresses/actors? (Ana Nova, Dru Berrymore, Katja Kassin => they worked the most time in US)
- German producers? (DBM => they produced a lot of stuff without german cast or director => i.e. Babettes Saftbienen or most of the Babette Blue films. (mostly French actors and French and Eastern Europe actresses)

- German directors?

My, very restrictive, definition is: Most of the cast is German or fluent German speaking, Studio is German, and in this case normally the drectors are German.

A question answered with another question.....
I am not an expert un German porn or Euro porn. My knowledge is very very limited.
But from my observationof French, Italian, German porn movies from 1980's to
the present, and at least from examination and observation of 2 things:
(1) video box covers (hardly any females, and practilly never males) (compared to US box covers
which are way much more informative)
(2) discussion and threads in this froum about identity of performers (just scan through the first pages
of this forum to confirm this is so)

Discussion posts here often deal with German titles and performers (much much less for Italian,
I am one of the few, or French)
Video box covers (and on-screen credits) often do not show performer names, even when you
would expect the producers to slap some well-known perfomer names.
Even recent crappy pro-am stuff from France and Italy have cast names (even if purely
funny or invented or misleading). The German box covers show absolutely
nothing!
Is the German product much more varied that other Euro couuntries? To some extent perhaps,
esopecially in the more fetish/extreme stuff (DBSM, scat, incest, mature/granny, fat, pissing, fisting, etc)
Anyway that's my fair observation, and if I am totally wrong let me know.
