I am looking for the location of a certain H?tel de Ville (City Hall). I figured it might be easy'ish to located, if you?re French. I have tried, but so far no luck. Google only tends to located the most popular H?tel de Ville (City Hall) ie the H?tel de Ville in Paris.
You maybe asking yourself why?
Well, it interest?s me, the location?s of film shoots.
It appears: Indiscr?tions d'h?tel - 1993
was film in an area near to H?tel de Ville (City Hall).
A large picture of the H?tel de Ville can be viewed here: (see bottom of page)

I am not French and I do not know the location of the place which was used for the location of that particular movie, but a distinction should be made with the your translation of "Hotel de Ville", which should be City Hotel as it is meant to be a hotel where guests are staying.
"City Hall" (aka town-hall) means the place where official city business is conducted in a particulatr city (mayor's and administrative offices of a town/city).

I only saw your screenshots after I posted my comments.
Was the actual (Paris City Hall) seen in the same shot as the "hotel" in question, or are they seen in separate (edited) shots?
Have you tried to e-mail VMD through their website and ask them this same question? They produced the movie and they would be people who would/should know, or do they refuse to divulge this?

Paris has nothing to do with it. H?tel de Ville is a standard name given the city halls in France.
'The H?tel de Ville (French for "City Hall")' - Wiki
On the front of the building are the words 'H?tel de Ville'
The H?tel de Ville that appears during Indiscr?tions d'h?tel appears to be located in a small town.
There can only be 'x' amount of H?tel de Ville in France.

I am not French but I have a fair knowledge of the language. "Hotel De Ville" means City Hall or town-hall.
"Hotel De Ville" (City Hotel) in the movie may have been a fictitious name given that particular small hotel for dramatic purposes. It may not necessarily mean there is such a hotel's name.
The interior seen in the movie may or may not have been shot in the same locale but could have been hot anywhere (composite of various places or interior studio sets).
Have you been in contact with VMD to ask them directly where the movie was shot?

Where x= [presumably] the number of cities in France- a fair few,
I'd guess. I'm a bit confused, too, by the distinction between
this term and 'mairie' [town hall].

"Mairie" (from "maire" - mayor), basically is another word for "hotel de ville" (city hall, town-hall).
I think it is or may be a play on words to call certain hotels/inns "Hotel De Ville" (which can either mean the litereal City Hotel or City Hall).

'in the movie may have been a fictitious name given that particular small hotel for dramatic purposes'
Its a porno. I doubt they went to the expense of adding a sign to a building all for the sake of and opening shot, as thats the only time 'H?tel de Ville' appears. The rest of the film takes place at another hotel (presumably down the road, not too far away from 'H?tel de Ville')
By design, 'H?tel de Ville' complete with clock, looks like a town hall / city hall.

You may doubt it, but you do not know what VMD went through to probably disguide the actual location, and with name change.
You do not seem to be willing to ask them directly (and keep avoiding the question), so we can only conjecture as to the actual name of place, if more than one location (interior/excteriors were used)....
We are not getting much anywhere with this discussion.
