So, adult movies were still made for the cinema.

I wholly agree with your view beutelwolf. I did start to think that my recollection of the standard of porn in the 70's & 80's was, perhaps, euthoric recall, but having seen a few of these classics on dvd recently, I am convinced they are far superior to anything being produced today. I certainly hope Herzog will continue to re-release these films on dvd.
