what about RIBU?

Hi,

a few months ago, I ordered three Ribu DVDs through Orgazmik, all classic titles.
One they had in stock, one took more than a month for them to get from Ribu, and the third never came.
The quality of the two titles was very good, but the DVDs vere very poor to say the least. Little or none(!) chapter segmentation, lack of any version other than German (even for the one that was made by a French crew). ALso, they looked like they were not original, but rather homemade burnt copies with a poor black print, wich was notoriously getting erased every time I put the disk in the reader (almost unreadable even if I haven't put any more than half a dozen times).

There are a few nice titles in www.videoworld.at, but I dare not order. Was I unlucky?, or rather shouldn't I expect otherwise from that company?

Cheers,

Joan

I am afraid it is just like that - the earliest few Ribu DVDs were put out with more of an effort that the later ones.
But even those had hardly any chapter segmentation of note, and certainly no foreign-language versions.

Ribu has a substantial back catalogue and Orgazmik has indicated on their web site problems with stock shortage for several Ribu titles. Orgazmik is not the kind of company that would sell bootlegs - they are dear but provide good service.

I hope either RIBU or someone who has access to their library releases a proper edition of Ekstasen, M?dchen und Millionen, with all the extra footage that is in the softcore version that aired on German satallite a few years back. That extra footage was HOT!

Hi joandetarraco!

This is very bad for this company.
The long waiting periods aren't usual.
It is a little not OK.

Excelent are the quality of my DVD?s of RIBU.
I have bought in Germany.(Of a video-tape library)
Dispatch is forbidden in Germany.(Note :German politicians are lying and ridiculous)

I give you a tip:
Writes a mail before you buy.
If a company responds to your questions, then buy or don't buy.
If a company doesn't answer, then don't buy.
