Can anyone identify this film?

I know this is approaching "needle in a haystack" territory, but I'm trying to track down the first ever porn film I saw, and wanted some help identifying it.

I saw it around 1989, but it looked much older (I'd say late seventies or early eighties), and I seem to remember it as French and it had a bit of plot rather than just being sex scenes. It was set in some kind of boarding school/"finishing academy", and had a slightly bizarre/dreamlike quality to it. There was definitely a spanking-leading-to-lesbian-action scene between the "headmistress" and the main girl.

However the scene that really sticks in my mind is the final one, which culminated in some moustachioed guy (a caretaker or something?), smothering/killing one of the girls in the bathroom under some plastic sheeting. Remember this quite clearly as a) it seemed to just come out of nowhere and wasn't really part of the plot, and b) it properly freaked out me and my mate as it was a bit creepy.

Any help really greatly appreciated.

"?ducation Anglaise" comes to mind. Some of your description fits. It was film from 1983 directed by Jean-Claude Roy as I found on this website.

However, I've seen this film long time ago and maybe my memory is deceiving me so sorry if I misguided you instead of helping.

Thanks for the suggestion. Had a look at education anglaise on this site's archive - do you know if it was hardcore, as the one I saw definitely was...Any other tips much appreciated.
