It's not infatuation, it's economic survival. McCavity & Co have spent so much (misguided) time and money on trying to make "Violet" a bankable porno star, that they try to hype her up at every opportunity in the hope that all the British male population will rush out and purchase a "Violet" movie. Thereby facilitating a return on their investment and payment of McCavity's rent!

An excellent idea in principal, but in this case badly executed and badly judged, as I'm afraid Violet is simply not star material. Possibly even off putting to some guys.
