I could see no evidence that it was shot in Britain. The car in the opening sequence was left-hand drive and drove on the right side of the road. I couldn't make out what the sign said above the strip joint, but it didn't look English. Where did the idea come from that it was British-based?

I think Lahaie's visit to London for a couple of soft video appearances was early 80s. France Lomay had stopped doing h/c b/g by then and Bernard Hug is a figure from the late 70s. This is after La Rabatteuse though as France Lomay is blonde.

Everyone else in it is definitely French.

But yes, I did mis-read the title. There is no on-screen title on the BV tape.

The softcore film Erotica that she was in (and which revolves around the Paul Raymond Revuebar) has a copyright year of 1980 so that would imply that it was most likely made the previous year.

Only about three years ago. But there were many loops shot in Britain in the 1970s by John Lindsay and others like Russel Gay, George Harrison Marks and Mike Freeman. John Lindsay released his loops under the Taboo label (not the German Tabu company) using the name Karl Ordinez which was probably an alias, though he sometimes claimed it was another person. He also made films for Tabu, such as Miss Bohrloch, starring Mary Millington and probably many other loops for both Tabu and Color Climax. (Some of the other film makers probably shot for those companaies too.) The loops were shown in private cinema clubs, though these were often raided by the police who confiscated the prints. He sold some of his loops on video in the early 80s, but finally got tired of being persecuted by the police and retired.

All this is why these loops are so hard to find today. I know of only about five or six hours worth of John Lindsay's Taboo material which is still out there, but he must have shot a lot more.

How many loops did John Lindsay make? KTBEU says he admitted to making over 4000. But that seems like an exageration.
He did his first in 1966 and stopped in ? Say 1977? He would have had to have made at least 1 a day. What? I doubt he made that many. Maybe cut and paste scenes?

It does seem a high figure, especially as the later ones were longer at about 20 minutes and some used two or more different locations. One of the characteristics of some of the loops of Color Climax shot in Britain compared to many of the rest of their loops is the frequency of outdoor scenes, setting the scene as it were. These must have taken more time to shoot compared to the others - and compared to the motel room porn of today.

He certainly used some titles twice. Difficult to use archvie footage in loops though.
