New Problem?? Censored DVD?s!!

perhaps a consequence of porn?s "globalization" ???
it is obviously that some producers who want to sell her movies around "porn?s world" are beginning to cut their stuff regarding an average measure.
last example from which i heard ( but cannot confirm)
videorama has cut all "watersports" & similar scenes in its dvd releases of the " Gina Wild" series. but i have heard nothing from a "national" (German) dvd release including these scenes.
there could be the consequence:
we will never see more such ( in Germany allowed & accepted) sexual scenes in German movies which are prepared generally for international distribution. a separated "German" release is not very probable because the costs.

Yes, I have noticed this too. I get my dvd's from Orgazmik, simply because of their excellent customer care. I notice they do not sell dvd's featuring watersports. I have seen a few German videos in the past which have had these scenes cut out, clearly for the American market. I can never really understand why pissing is such a taboo in the USA, given the unpleasant nature of some of their pornographic output!

As far as I can tell, it is not done for the American market but because of a Swiss law. Apparently, pissing is a no-no in Switzerland, where Orgazmik is based.
This has all been discussed on rame a few years ago. Just do a google search and ye will find.

You may well be right with regard to the Swiss situation, Walter. Nevertheless AP has raised an interesting point here which merits further discussion. I noticed that the pissing scene was cut out of my copy of Familie Immerscharf parts 2 & 3 which I obtained from Orgazmik. I cannot believe that this was done purely for the benefit of the Swiss market! I am not to bothered about whether pissing is included or not, but if AP is right, and I believe he is, we shall get increasingly bland European films, made to satisfy mores throughout the world.

to avoid misunderstandings ...
orgazmik is not producing own dvd?s or
videorama is not producing dvd?s only for the swiss market ..
..... secondary regional questions
the problem is following at my opinion:
if movies will be edited in future only as dvd?s
some producers will release them all probably as "international" dvds
with different languages & subtitles etc.
(NOT more as "national" dvd)
because they are interested to sell them in all big porn markets.
therefore they will pay attention not to break any rules
in one of these big "points of sale".
the "danger" which i see ( confirmed by the actual "Gina Wild" example):
today there is only one dvd release on the market - CUT !!
the original can be seen only as "old" vhs video - still !!!
if this release technique will go on
we will not more see watersports movies & other specialities
in near future released by an international orientated producer.

what are you telling about "Familie Immerscharf" ( Tabu !!)
are bad messages ..
and validating my opinion about a current beginning trend of censoring
or of avoiding certain topics in future to get a better profit.
i had never thought that old vhs copies (as original full version)
would be once again interesting for me.

Like I said, this has all been discussed on rame, also by me. Just do a search.

obviously my english is so lousy
that you cannot understand my topic.
your remarks above are only regionally or nationally orientated ...
and an old discussion which i cannot evaluate
should not impede a similar or another discussion.
there is no need for someone to contribute where is no interest for him.
for me it is a new phenomenon
that some rather new German movies ( 3-4 years old) are NOW released as dvd?s ONLY in a censored version - and the originals exists only as vhs videos.
it is rather irrelevant for me what are the porn standards in USA or Switzerland ( What YES .. what NO) -
but if international orientated porn producers could avoid totally certain topics "in vorauseilendem Gehorsam" in future
that would be no pleasure for the "national" customer.

You are missing the point. We are trying to discuss this here, not elsewhere.

Unfortunately I have never possessed the vhs version but I have seen it. The father is in the bath and the sister-in-law comes in and pisses on him. In the dvd version the scene cuts the moment she starts to pass water. Actually it would have been better to have cut the whole scene. It will be interesting to see what happens if TABU release teil 4 on dvd, that has a lot of pissing in it. It is also, in my opinion, the best of the series.
