Comment has been made on this forum before regarding the number of pseudonyms many European actressses use. I think the record may be held by the busty Czech actress Serena Leonidas, or whatever her name is. She made a lot of films in the late 90's and the first couple of years of this century, but I have seen nothing new from her recently. She used a different name in virtually every film she appeared in. Does anyone know if she is still active? Furthermore can anyone tell me of anyone else who changed their name so regularly?

I think her 100 or so movies should be enough for most...

The distributors change the pseudonyms.

Example:
Gina Wild by Videorama (Adult)
Michaela Schaffrath by VOX(German-TV)

She used many more names than that. She was Steffi in GGG films for example. I accept that the changes may not have been of her own making. It is nevertheless interesting that distributors found it advantageous to change her name. I have heard it suggested that she was not that popular with punters, but that is unlikely, she would not have got work if that was the case, or am I missing something? I knew she made a lot of films I did not realise it was as many as a hundred. Others may not have been keen on her, but I always enjoyed her work!

Thank you for the information John. That is a fairly comprehensive list of her aliases. I think there are a couple of others but they merely have a surname added to Zdenka. I rather suspect that Zdenka is her proper name and perhaps some of her aka's are merely foreign versions of that name. I noticed recently that she was described as Russian on the MMV video, 'Miss Donnerbusen', although I am fairly sure she is Czech. I still don't know if she is still making films or not.

From my database she's Czech.
I'm not aware of any new video work since 2001 although she still keeps popping up in Score group magazines (most likely old pictures).

If one is trying to find a film with a particular actress in, it is certainly easier if she has stuck to more or less one name. I recently tried to do some research on the Slovenian actress, Cassandra. It was easier than certain others because she generally stuck to that name. The only problem was a lot of other actresses have used it! It is much better when they include a surname.
