Billian loops

Information supplied on this forum by clearly knowledgeable people sometimes comes as a surprise to me. I did not realise that Hans Billian made loops. I have always thought that the loops were 8mm excerpts from his longer films made for either home viewing or for countries, such as the Uk, where cinemas were not allowed to show his feature film hardcore. I was even more surprised to see he made some of these loops in Scandinavia. Does anyone have any information on these scandinavian loops?

as told in another thread by me:
the only source is his remarkable interview of 1996
where he spoke about the Scandinavian loops without details

if he is still living ( today over 80) people should ask him
he has ever liked to give informations about his activities.

As for his Scandinavian work, I'm unable to contribute any info. (My best bet is that he worked in Denmark). Again, give him a call/write him a line.

To the best of my knowledge, the "30 Jahre Tabu, 1969-1999" DVD is currently the best source to his "loops" (they could easily be labeled "ambitious shorts" - they often have good locations, sets, costumes, storylines, extras etc). According to the box info, these titles seem to be bona fide Billan loops:

Sanit?tsgefreiter Neumann
Orgasmuszentrale
Die B?hne
L?sternes Ehepaar
Bumsskandal im Nachtlokal
Ein flei?iger Pinsel
Tabu Cabaret

They all deserve separate EGAFD entries one of these days.

Also, to the best of my knowledge, these and other Billian loops appeared on VHS compilations way back in the days. Does anyone know more about this?

Oops, I see that these shorts do indeed have their own EGAFD entries already. My mistake, sorry.

Hi
I'm new here. I've been searching the internet for years ever since I first saw the Hans Billian loops on an old, decaying Vhs.Back then I didn't know the name, or anything about then, all I knew was the production company called themselves Tabu films.
I've managed to put the pieces together and when I saw this post, it all came together. I apologize in advance if I'm doing anything wrong, but can anyone tell where I can find these loops?
if they are on vhs (or on the internet) i'd like to own them.
please?

Thanks

Occasionally they show up in the porn section of the German auction site www.filmundo.de, e.g. about a week ago or so someone sold "Bumsskandal im Nachtlokal".

Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately I don't know german (that's one setback right there)
but now that I know they exist, I can hope Its only a matter of time before I snag them and convert them to Dvd.

Clearly there are people, particularly those fluent in German, who have a far better knowledge of this matter than I. However I do think many of the loops are excerpts from longer films. The trouble is, as mulholand has pointed out elsewhere, some of Billian's feature films finished pretty abruptly, so you can get the impression that they are cut. With the loops it is not unnatural to assume they have been taken from a longer film, when that may not be the case.

Just for the record, the loops presented in "30 Jahre Tabu, 1969-1999" are not full-length, neither are they trailers. What one gets here are three to four minutes of highlighted excerpts from each loop. My estimation is that the original run-time is around 20-25 minutes per loop.

Although it's a nice thought, I don't think that Billian's loops are shorter versions of longer films, on the contrary: he seems to have inserted some of his shorts to pad out soft features with hard material, for example in "Die Wilden Sexsch?lerinnen", the hard version of "Verf?hrerinnen-Report". "Eine Verdammt heisse Braut" seems to be packed with loops, which explains the presence of the likes of Anne Magle and Karine Gambier in the film - these people are usually only on screen during one specific scene (in the film these loops are seen on video by the "damned hot" wedding guests). The recently released "Eine Verdammt heisse Braut" DVD clocks an amazing 170 minutes! (according to www.orgazmik.com)

On the subject of tracking down these (increasingly mythical) loops, one seems to be up for a challenge, not only by knowing German but also knowing German internet rules regarding pornographic content and sales thereof (I may be wrong, but the simple entering of a porn-themed site seems to require passport and/or credit card copies. There are age restricions, rules against sending "restricted" films to private persons, rules against sending films abroad and so forth.) Can anyone clarify exactly how it's done? For example, can a non-German be a member of www.filmundo.de?
