Is there a site with covers of all his films? Besides him and Hans Billian, what other German directors are there that can be recommended?
Thanks!

Ahem, Mike Hunter is not a director, even if it says so on some of his films. He (Mike Hunter = Gerd Wasmund) used to have a video label that was renowned for exploitation films as well as porn. Generally it showed a refreshing offbeat taste, giving Hollywood-style mainstream the thumps down. In the early days of video the label was doing extremely well, but I think it has gone under, presumably under constant litigation pressure from the authorities concerned about video nasties.

hello Jaguar, Two directors you may consider are Juergen Enz and Gunter Otto, although I am sometimes suspicious that Gunter Otto and Hans Billian are one of the same. Most German hardcore directors of the late 70's had a similar style having, I assume, moved from the softcore market.

Billian and Otto are not the same, in fact they fell out when Billian wanted to make a sequel to his first Mutzenbacher film, and producer Otto did not find the money. So, Billian found another producer to make "Die Beichte der...".
Otto was reportedly livid and filmed his own sequel. with himself as the director.
I think, before porn arrived Billian made mainstream movies in Germany (something like to the German equivalent to "Tammy and the Bachelor"), as director or as script writer, while Otto was a cinematographer before hitting the jackpot with producing the softcore sex films "Liebesgruesse aus der Lederhose".

Thank you beutelwolf for that information. I did wonder if they were the same person because of their similar style. Clearly I was wrong so thank you for the clarification.

Mike Hunter had his Film-Trade Company in K?ln (Cologne), but, as far as i know, was born in the Ruhrgebiet, not far from K?ln.
Anyway, he lives now in the USA and is very rich. He maybe doesnt need to work any more, if he does, then no Porno Business.
