I have a few questions :

1
does anybody know why french movies like the ones released by RIBU are available ONLY in GERMAN and not in FRENCH?

2.
How can I find french classics that were produced by other french productions other than VMD,RIBU or Blue One/Alpha .
I remembered lots of french movies were produced by CINEVOG. But nowadays the only french classics I can find are either from VMD, Blue One/Alpha or RIBU which don't include some titiles I used to see on FRENCH CANAL PLUS between 1984 and early 90s

Why is it that the AUDIO in most french(or italian) movies (except the early VMD videos) have to be (badly) dubbed in FRENCH . Does it mean that most X performers don't know or remember their lines?

1. Some, like Jailhouse Sex (Ribu) have also been released by Blue One in French (Prisons tr?s sp?ciales pour femmes) - recent DVD release. I think it is to do with distribution rights. When French companies release American videos on DVD, for example, you seldom get an option for an English soundtrack.

2. Either try to get the Italian releases - where you then enter the minefield of fake titles, or get American versions (also a minefield of titles and cast credits), or get copies of dubious legality from sites which specialise in vintage or cult films. Plus Colmax have released two or three 80s French films on DVD and Golden Blue have released one (Poker Show).

3. If you are talking about modern releases it is probably to do with the fact that the cast is multi-national with varying degrees of fluency in the language concerned. In the past that also applied to some extent, but it was also a standard practice, not just in porn films, known as the Italian method (I think), adopted so that the director could shout instructions to the cast as the action proceeded. This is sent up in the American porn film Blonde Ambition where the two heroines (one being Suzy Mandel) get work on the set of a porn musical where Jamie Gillis is playing the director. He explains the above system and then proceeds to choreograph a scene where a row of 'cowboys' take a row of saloon girls in several positions (synchronised fucking?) by bawling orders through a megaphone. No doubt there are other reasons too.

RIBU doesn't have any money for this.
At that time, the RIBU films only were for sex shops and sex movies produced and only into German synchronizes.
The films were sold on "super 8/120 m".

The beginning of RIBU.
Boss was Werner Ritterbusch ("Mr.RIBU") of RIBU film, in Hamburg at that time.

are cut from various US & French movies, 70s and 80s mixing (badly).
