This April 1st 2019 and its no april fools, the UK Tory government will be making a new law where in the UK anyone who views porn online will have to prove their age or they will be blocked, so when you want to watch porn online you will be redirected to a site where you must verify your age by using your credit card, passport, driving licence, mobile number etc or go into a newsagent shop and buy a 12 digit number porn pass at ?4.99 from the shopkeeper, also porn such as spanking, female sitting and female ejactulation will be censored by the uk government as its seemed dangerous, now we must ask the uk tory government permission to have a wank its getting worse ! its like going back to the 1970s

I was reading about this in a newspaper over the weekend.

It's amazing they can do this when the government itself is so full of wankers.

I'm going to look at using a VPN.

Can anyone recommend a good VPN to use?

Firefox has free vpns as add ons. Setup vpn and hoxx vpn are good speeds but limited downloads. There are a few others also just search vpn in the add ons. One called pure vpn seems to be unlimited but has only a three country choice of location. Opera browser has a free vpn built in to it's settings but you have to enable it and it's slow. Tor browser seems to work like a vpn but is noticeably slower than those i mentioned earlier.

Thanks.

I use Chrome and I'd rather stick with that.

Are slow download speeds just an issue with free VPNs or are they a problem with paid for VPNs as well?

If the worse comes t the worse though I'll have to change to Firefox or Opera.

There are Chrome addons for Hoxx and SetupVPN but I've never used them since I would never use Chrome directly as it is a Google product so who knows what they can track.
Likewise I mostly use Startpage as a front door to Google search, although the same results don't come up for more obscure searches so I do resort to Google behind a VPN.

I would not trust Hoxx, SetupVPN etc as secure and without tracking either like say Nord but simply for websites seeing you as being in say Canada or Australia not an issue.

My primary browser is Firefox. I have both Hoxx and SetupVPN installed to increase the overall free data allowance.

I do use Opera but as posted the builtin VPN is slow.
There are other browsers based on the chromium engine too e.g. Comodo Dragon.

I'll see what can be accessed and what is blocked before as a last resort buying a code. No way will I give any ID or card details online.

I only go through vpn's anyway these days. I don't have any issue with paying a fiver in a newsagent though but there's absolutely nothing to stop someone's older brother or sister giving them a code and it being passed all round school. Like all May's other ideas it's flawed from the start.

Could someone please give me advice on which free VPN is best ? I hear that it's best to pay monthly as free VPN can sell on your data.

At the moment i would just recommend using tor browser. Give it a go the worst that can happen is it doesn't work.

Indeed at least some of the free VPN can not be trusted and encryption is poor so totally unsuitable for e.g. banking.

Pro's and con's to the paid services.
Some allow torrent / PTP but others don't, some are better for Netflix etc.
Some allow several simultaneous devices and cover Mac, Android, Linux etc.
All have deals, often a pop-up when you leave their website.

Nord would probably be my choice but a very short trial and long commitment to get the best price.
ExpressVPN, CyberGhost & Private Internet Access are others to look at.
