A dumb question.
When I answer No I normally get a blank response and that person normally changes the subject or walks away because they want you to say Yes!
Then they look stupid! HaHa.........

Likewise being called

Mate
or
My friend

by someone who even if you have briefly met them before is not and unlikely ever to be either.


My best one was several years ago in the run up to Christmas. A shop assistant asked

Is there something you are looking for ?

to which I responded

Yes ( slight pause ) inspiration

She just smiled and walked away.
