I wonder if any techno phones on here can help me? I have BT infinity 2 when it was connected I managed to connect my laptop and other devices to it no problem.

A few weeks back I turned on my laptop to do some browsing and I couldn't connect. It's the same on chrome and IE I just get the following message:

"You are seeing this page because you are using a BT service which requires the use of BT DNS servers and it appears you are attempting to connect using a DNS server outside of our network. Our BT protec and parental controls services require both require the use of our BT DNS to keep you safe online. You may have selected a different server in your network settings or installed an application that uses an alternative service"

Well to My knowledge I've done nothing of the sort. One day I could connect now I can't.

If anyone can supply any answers I'd be eternally grateful!

I have BT infinity 2 but use a mac so I'm not familiar with PCs these days, can you not do a restore to a time when it worked?

Hopefully someone else can give you better advice.

did you already do the usual virus/malware scans just in case something else has altered a setting here on there?

Sorry if it sounds obvious, but ring BT. I have always found them helpful, even though you have to go through hoops before getting to the actual problem.
