EGAFD Database is down

When I click on the film or actresses link I get "The EGAFD database is currently unavailable
Please try again later."
What's going on, Mods?

There's a still-mysterious technical glitch - and has been for some months - which leads it to do this frequently and seemingly at random. The hosts have not yet been able to find out why it's happening.
Now up again.

Hmmm, no it's not!
This is such a shame. I know things aren't how they once were with regard who's in charge but there's been a lot of man (and woman) hours in this site and it's such a shame to fall to bits.
Should - if it's possible - the site be moved to another server or host? Is this even possible? I'm sure it would cost...could we all chip in ?1 a year to keep it going. I know I would if you asked.

It was, but then it wasn't. Now it is. Until it's not again.
Going down twice in two days is unusual. The previous 'up' phase lasted a week. As yet we can't find a pattern. This particular glitch can be fixed as soon as we spot it, but then it happens again.
Re the other suggestions they are beyond my competence to respond to, but thanks for the offer.

Which part of egafd did you look at? The forum is not affected by this glitch and the db wasn't restored until 12.20 or so.
