Just found out that the Flying Scotsman on the Caledonian Road, Kings Cross has closed it will in the future re-open as a Gastro Pub.
In the last two years both the porn cinemas on the Caledonian Road have closed as has the FV on City Road all by the council
Closing these harmless venues, what good has it done anyone?

I'm surprised it stayed in business so long as it has looked closed whenever I've passed it for a good few years now, trying to keep a low profile I guess. Still its a shame to see the last vestiges of the wild and wooly era of Kings Cross disappearing , presumably as a way of sanitising what is now an international destination via Eurostar.

Hi,
It will be re-opening as a gastro-pub catering for the new type of executive traveller who use Kings Cross St Pancreas. Understand it was raided last year, lots of stories that it was either UKBA or HMRC. In the past I have spent many happy evening in there before wandering along to the Abcat cinema. As you say the last vestiges of the wild and woolly past are gone. I am not sure if it will be better for it.
