Some people have more money than brains. ?1300 to watch a football match.
I wonder if Jim Bowen could turn up with a picture of the Premier League trophy and utter the immortal "here's what you could have won..."...

Yep
To see possibly the most overated player in football history
Done nothing at international level, no prem medal
One high profile game in Europe and a couple of goals against a average west ham team in a cup final
Very very good player but world class ! not for me imho

Never understood why people rated him so highly. No flair, nothing special at all. Just a workhorse.

They keep building it up, Stevie G's last game blah blah blah, people (mugs) paying ?1000's to see his last game. What are the odds that he comes back to Liverpool for a few weeks next year when the MLS season is over?

Hype over talent. Liverpool are desperate to rate Gerrard when they had Hansen, Dalgliesh etc....waaaaaay better players. Liverpool could still finish 7th and not qualify for Europe. Again.

According to Wikipedia

"His honours include two FA Cups, three League Cups, one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Cup, and two UEFA Super Cups.

Gerrard made his international debut for the England national football team in 2000, and represented his country at the 2000, 2004 and 2012 UEFA European Football Championships, as well as the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups ? captaining the team at the latter two tournaments. He was named as the permanent England captain shortly before UEFA Euro 2012, where he was named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament. Gerrard became the sixth player to win 100 caps for England in 2012, and is currently third in the country's all time appearance list.

Zinedine Zidane said in 2009 that he considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world. In 2005, Gerrard was honoured as the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year and won the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. He has also been named in the PFA Team of the Year a record eight times, the UEFA Team of the Year and FIFA World XI three times, and was named PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2006 and the FWA Footballer of the Year in 2009. He is, to date, the only footballer ever to have scored a goal in an FA Cup Final, a League Cup Final, a UEFA Cup Final and a Champions League Final."

Completely underrated? I don't think so. One of the best players of his generation.

"Little Englander mentality and yes overated big time"

Ok, I will try to let Zinedine Zidane who called him the best footballer in the world, the coaches of the 16 teams in the last rounds of the Champions League in 2005 who gave him the 2005 EUFA Club Footballer of the Year award and the 52 European journalists that gave him a Ballon d'Or award that they got it wrong and have a Little Englander mentality.
