Looking fit as fuck on Andrew Marr's show....the new thinking man's crumpet! Hope she takes over presenting "This Week" from smug toupee-toting Andrew Neil ASAP.

Yes because that won't be dumbing down at all, will it?

Not so much dumbing-down as cunting-down perhaps...good riddance to the sarky old Jock twat!

It's funny that people find it acceptable to call a Scotsman "Jock" but if I was to call a Pakistani person a "Paki" all hell would break loose.

I see what you mean but I don't think it is quite the same. Scotsmen choose to call themselves Jock ? Jock Stein and Jock Wallace being two examples. I don't think I've seen anyone call themselves Paki.
"Opening the batting for Pakistan now are Zaheer Abbas and Paki Khan" ? can't really see it, can you?

I used to work with a guy who bored everyone silly by telling them all his VIP nightclub card stood for "Very Important Paki"
Not that i'm defending or condoning it, but as with most things, its all down to context, but the word is so loaded these days its not worth arguing the toss over.

I was called Jock when I went to college and had no problem with it but nowadays you can't go to a "Chinkies" for a takeaway or as I said if you mention Paki all of a sudden it's racist. As far as I'm concerned I go for a Chinkies and their's nothing racial involved but some people object I just fail to see the difference.

Andrew Neil is a superb journalist. That is why he does the job.

And now Sam Slater calls you Whale Cock... perhaps he means it as rhyming slang.
and had no problem

I think as Peter says it is the context that is important. As far as I am concerned going to the chinky for a takeaway or the Paki shop on the corner for a bottle of milk doesn't make you racialist.
