Two muslims were praying at a Liverpool game and someone Tweeted the following about it:
"Muslims praying at half time at the match yesterday. Disgrace."
The person who Tweeted this has been reported to the Police and Liverpool FC are considering what kind of action to take. Do people think this is an over-reaction? I do. Just pointing out that muslims are praying in the stadium, then referring to it as a 'Disgrace' might not be appropriate and may convey intolerance, but surely reporting it to the Police is over-doing it. What happened to Freedom of Speech?

The way Liverpool have played in some of their matches, I would have thought they would be glad of whatever help they can get no matter who is doing the praying!

Over reaction from both sides, I think.
I doubt anyone would have complained it was a disgrace if they'd seen fans hands clasped together and eyes closed. And Liverpool are being over the top given no one incited violence or even intolerance. You can tolerate things you find disgraceful.
As for the police.......no laws have been broken. Nothing to do with them.
Thinking about it, Liverpool are probably overcompensating for the stupid t-shirt incident, supporting Suarez after racially abusing a fellow player.

Interesting comments there. Liverpool could certainly do with all the help they could get, and if Allah or Jehova could assist then all the better! Lol. I agree its not a Police matter, but there is always the threat of bringing the Police in even with trivial things like this. It's not as if the guy threatened the people praying, he was just critical of it. We live in an almost 'George Orwell thought Police' society now. It's sad.

Fair play to the lads. It might help.
Sturridge crosses himself every time he goes on the pitch (about 3 times this
year)
