Been watching some of the old Carry On films, corny as fuck but still funny.Depressing thing is I suppose the first ones must be about 60 years old

Not far off. The first one (Carry On Sergeant) was made in 1958 and Bob Monkhouse was in it! Funnily enough we watched Carry On Cleo only yesterday. And it must be said that the then 28 year-old Amanda Barrie (who played Cleo) was as fit as fuck in 1964!

It's not that funny since it's part of the Carry On series on ITV3. Yes, fit as fuck and gay as a goose.

Neither of them ever did much for me at all.

Liz Fraser, Joan Sims and Dilys Laye on the other hand ...

I read somewhere that Hattie Jacques was a bit of a nympho. Not my cup of tea but everybody has their own tastes.

Not true. She had an affair with her driver while married to John Le Mesurier but she was too embarrassed by her size to put it about.

I know what I read. Not everything you read is true but why write something like that if there was no truth to it ? She wasn't exactly a beauty queen. Then again with actors "there's no such thing as bad publicity"

Sell books? Make a name for yourself? Create a scandal? All sorts of reasons. Acc to Kenneth Williams, Eric Sykes and her biographer Andy Merman (son of Eric), Hattie had the one affair during her marriage to Le Mez and that was it. Like many women in showbiz, she surrounded herself with gay blokes.

Yep, Chris Langham would be with you all the way on that one.
