I was a bit disappointed Natalie Bennett didn't offer free ice cream once BST kicks in and one of those attractive Mountain Equipment Goretex jackets when the clocks go back.

After all, her spending plans seemed to cover everything else.

I had to open the windows because of all the hot air issuing forth from the gogglebox.

Given the format of having so many leaders present, it could have been a complete shambles, but it wasn't. The reason for that is largely down to Etchingham's professionalism.

It thought Milliband was over rehearsed. But did okay.
I can understand why people in Scotland vote SNP. They have some really credible politicians. Sturgeon seemed to be trying to appeal to the whole of the UK.
Farage did what he had to do. He does have a point that high immigration affects just about everything.
Clegg kept going on and on and on about the centre ground. Bye bye Cleggie.
Natalie Bennett did better after a shaky start. I can see why Labour are losing votes to the greens and SNP.
Cameron jaded same old same. Austerity austrity austrity. Change the record Dave we need to be borrowing cheap money at this time on building houses and infrastructure. Like Milliband over rehearsed looking at the camera type speech.
Leanne Wood. Spoke too much about welsh issues. But did okay. I'd really like to give her one though !drool! The women won the night.

An interesting point......Sturgeon is not, and is not planning to be an MP. So why was she there? I assume that a non elected Jimmy Krankie tribute act is going to tell the elected SNP MPs what to do? Surely the SNP should have a Westminster leader who leads on national issues while Miss Fanny Dabby Dozy deals with purely Scottish issues such as the price of shortbread, oatcakes and their drastically collapsing oil revenues.......?

I thought Farage did quite well, and I expect him to do well in May's election. It was interesting seeing the party leaders calling each other by their first names, possibly the first and last times they'll do that. The protocol when the leader of the Opposition addresses the Prime Minister is to call him 'Prime Minister', either to his face or on the telephone. Last night it was 'David'. My predictions for May's election is a similar thing to now: David and Nick as a coalition, Nige having 8 or 10 seats, Ed not doing very well at all and possibly resigning as a result.

When I go out into town and see everyone looking up in the sky with awe and amazement, I will know that Farage and UKIP will have come up with at least one policy that does not involve blaming immigrants.
