Joy Division

Post by David Johnson »

If there are any fans of Joy Division out there, I can recommend the documentary on BBC4. Great band who's stuff still sounds of the moment. Worth it for the sound of the drums alone.

It's nice when people reach out across the divide and agree on something.

The Joy Division era/genre is certainly not my specialist area. However, I did enjoy a BBC4 (later a BBC2) spoof documentary "Life of Rock with Brian Pern". Very satirical and dry, and I suspect there's additional value in the material for those more "in the know" than me.

Brian Pern was brilliant. Right to the end when Peter Gabriel appeared.
