And yet Cast Iron Dave is still posturing and blustering away, and pretending that we are a militarily relevant power.

Many many years ago a US Senator said we would be a drop in the ocean if we didn't have Trident. And the rest of the planet knows this.

Lads, its true we have Trident but so what ? Nuclear war is a last resort
unless some nutter like the North Korean dictator presses a button, so in
most world terms excluding nuclear options lets get real - Britain under
Cameron just blusters because a) that's all a little twat like him will ever
so since he lacks real integrity b) we have depleted our military to such
an extent that we can do bugger all anyway. Putin`s Russia is in a
financially dangerous position but its resources are huge, especially its
military and its being lead by an ex-KGB officer who dreams of a return to
the "good old days". The kind of nice moral scruples that bother Cameron
or politically correct Brits aren`t even on Putin`s radar.....

Or possibly not...
