Whilst I can see our outdated obscenity laws needed some revision before 1967 I cannot see why 49000 criminals, because what they did was a crime, all need to be pardoned. Fucking someone else up the arse in a public toilet or other public space is gross indecency, whether the couple are male or female. Huge numbers of public lavatories were no go zones for those who actually needed them as the fear of being propositioned, touched up or worse catching two or more people fucking was a real concern. In my City most pulbic toilets were out of bounds for safety reasons..

Now if, and I fear the Gay is Better brigade will get their way, these pardons go through then can everyone caught speeding on UK Motorways be pardoned in reverse as when they were first opened there was no limit?

I agree with what you say, a retrospective look at things always ends up with a different point of view from the one people had at the time. Young people now see gay and straight as on par with each other, just a way of life - like comparing people who have a desire for Coke compared to those who are into Pepsi, and the reason for that is they've been brought up like that. People years ago weren't brought up like that, and had a different view. An old guy I used to know, he is deceased now, regarded gay people as vile and disgusting - because he had been brought up that way. My view is: homosexuality is acceptable, those who fall under the heading should be respected, have no discrimination, and have total equality in every area of society - but it certainly isn't natural.

The purpose of every species is to reproduce itself, that's why there are two genders, that's why both go from infancy to adulthood, that's why men and women have the kit they've got and the function those bits of kit have. A man putting his willy in a woman's vag is natural, has a purpose, and it's what human's were designed to do. A man putting his willy in another man's arsehole isn't normal or natural, in fact it's disgusting. People can't help being gay, as I said earlier they deserve respect, equality and no negative treatment. Putting it on a par with heterosexuality though is ludicrous.

If everyone was gay the species would end. People who are gay rely on the straight sex act to create them. Straight people don't rely on gay people for anything. Gay couples who 'have a baby' rely on a third person and the act of straight sex to enable that baby to come along. Straight people don't rely on the gay sex act for anything. This all confirms that heterosexuality is more valid and has more point than the act of sodomy between men or lesbo action between women - confirming that the whole gay and straight thing are NOT equivalents and are NOT on an even footing. But the PC brigade demand we view them as equivalents, and will wield this term 'homophobic' at you if you don't. It's kind of become the new 'racism' - a term designed to shut the other person up, the person making the charge doesn't have to explain what this very vague term means in the context they're using it - and the person on the receiving end is floored. To me this is stupid: there is nothing unnatural about being black or Asian - there is a lot unnatural about being gay.

Good call Max. My Ultra PC employer now boasts to being The Most Gay Friendly Housing Association in the North West. Big fucking deal. Our Gay "Champion" has just left to join another business so they are desperately looking for another senior manager to come out so they can use him as a poster boy....Our entire training dept, bar one happily married straight bloke is either Gay or Lesbian and by hell do they like to tell you, as if they are something superior.

As I said I'm favour of total equality and respect for gay people but it should never been seen as being an equivilant to being heterosexual. It is these days, in fact it is extremely trendy to be gay in the modern era. They force kids to have to learn about it like it's normal too, where as in reality it would be confusing for kids to have to learn about those things.

Since when did DJ qualify as a psychiatrist? Having an opinion is normal. Being allowed to make comments is called Free Speech.
